Reagan National Airport experienced a power outage on Wednesday night (August 16), leaving commuters in darkness and affecting air traffic control.<br /><br />The airport tweeted about the outage shortly before 10 p.m.<br /><br />A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority said a Dominion Energy issue had caused the outage and the airport authority was working with Dominion to get power restored.<br /><br />All flights were put on hold, but authorities said most flights for the night had taken off and there should not be a major disruption to schedules.
