Eleven people in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district were rescued after being swept away by a strong current on Wednesday (August 15) as they were bathing in a stream.<br /><br />The footage shows a group of people bathing in the middle of a stream when the great force of the current suddenly pushes them to the edge of the waterfall.<br /><br />Their bodies can be seen falling down the waterfall and later floating in the river.<br /><br />The waterfall is located in Subhashpura area, bordering Gwalior district.<br /><br />There was a sudden surge in water around 4:30 pm on Wednesday, possibly due to heavy rain upstream, catching those bathing near the waterfall unawares, the police said.<br /><br />The rescue operation involved teams of the navy, Border Security Force and the state disaster response force.
