<p>Heavy rainfall over the state of Kerala, India, caused major swells in the Muthirapuzha River in Munnar. Video shot on August 14 shows vehicles crossing a one-lane bridge before it was taken over by the river.</p><p>News reports</a> said that at least 97 people have been killed in the widespread flooding. The chief minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, announced</a> that Kochi International Airport, which was heavily flooded, would be closed until August 18.
