Task force on Seoul-Tokyo exchange submit proposal to boost cultural and personal exchanges

A task force launched in late May to boost cultural and public exchanges between South Korea and Japan has submitted its final proposal. <br /> Seoul's top diplomat Kang Kyung-wha received the proposal on Thursday which suggests ten policies and 25 specific projects, including the designation of 2019-2020 as the years of South Korea-Japan exchange, and having some ten-thousand teenagers from both sides interact every year. <br />The foreign ministry said it will discuss with Japan on what projects to actually carry out. <br />Kang thanked the task force for their efforts in seeking original and future oriented ways to celebrate the 20th anniversary of a deal signed by the late South Korean President Kim Dae-jung and the then-Japanese Prime Minister, which was to boost and improve Seoul-Tokyo ties. <br />
