UNHCR Builds Shelters for Thousands of Yemenis Displaced by War

<br /> <p>The UNHCR said on August 17 that it was building 4,700 eco-friendly transitional shelters in Hajjah, Yemen, for more than 30,000 internally displaced people.</p><p>The UNHCR said that Hajjah hosts almost 20 percent of Yemen’s two million displaced people, many of whom have fled conflict.</p><p>The shelters were being built with local materials, consisting of a wooden structure reinforced by mud and dung walls, and covered with local plants and grass.
