Nearly 3-hundred-50 people have died after massive floods hit the Indian state of Kerala. <br />The flooding is said to be the worst in nearly a century.<br /> Dozens of helicopters and hundreds of boats have been deployed to extract the thousands of people left stranded. <br />They are also providing food and water supplies to those in isolated areas. <br />The flooding came after about two weeks of torrential rain,... which is common during the monsoon season. <br />But India's weather authorities say.... Kerala was hit with substantially more rainfall than normal.<br /> There has been a lull in rainfall since Sunday.... and is likley to ease over the next few days,... giving officials a window of opportunity to speed up rescue operations.<br />Thousands of relief camps have been set up to provide temporary housing to hundreds of thousands of displaced residents. <br />
