The space rocks are too small for current technologies to track down. These objects are only between 1 to 2 meters in size. Researchers are hoping a new telescope will make finding mini-moons much easier. It is called the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope. The LSST can track short-term objects in the sky. Studying them will give scientists a better understanding of the origins of asteroids.
