2분기 해외서 카드로 5조원 긁었다…출국자 줄어 6분기 만에 감소<br /><br /> South Koreans swiped their plastic less while overseas in the second quarter of this year, the first drop in six quarters.<br />Card spending here by foreigners, meanwhile, increased.<br /> Data from the BOK shows Koreans spent a combined 4-point-7-billion U.S. dollars overseas during that period with their credit and debit cards.<br />That's eight-percent lower than the first quarter when the figures hit an all-time high of more than five-billion dollars.<br /> The central bank attributes the decline to the number of outbound travelers falling to fewer than 6-point-9-million in Q2,... a drop of more than 7 percent.<br /> In contrast, card spending by foreigners in the nation increased by nearly 15 percent... to around 2-point-4-billion dollars... mainly due to the rising number of tourists from China and Southeast Asia. <br />
