'게임 한류의 힘' 상반기 지재권 수지 적자 역대 최소<br /><br /> South Korea's trade deficit in intellectual property rights hit a record low in the 1st half of 2018…on the back of the growing global popularity of the country's online games. <br /> According to a Bank of Korea report released on Tuesday, the country recorded a trade deficit of 600-million U.S. dollars in intellectual property in the January to June period…which is the lowest since related figures were compiled since 2010. <br />South Korea exported around 6-point-7 billion U.S. dollars and imported 7-point-3 billion dollars in intellectual property rights, such as copyrights, patents, and trademarks, during the first half of the year.<br />The central bank attributed the decrease in the deficit to the growing worldwide popularity of local online games. <br />It said South Korean exports of game franchise rights and computer software copyrights has been on the rise recently. <br />
