A brush fire erupted outside of Murrieta, Riverside County, on Sunday, August 19, prompting road diversions as the blaze burned close to a nearby freeway.<br /><br />According to local media, the fire was reported at around 3:50 pm near Interstate 215 and Scott Road. 90 firefighters and 13 engines responded to the scene.<br /><br />This video, shared to Facebook by Natalia Bracco Lopez from near Loma Linda Murrieta Hospital, shows a helicopter dropping water on the flames.<br /><br />Fire officials said one firefighter was injured in the blaze and was transported to a nearby hospital for a non-life threatening injury.<br /><br />The fire was 9.5 acres large and 30 percent contained by the evening.
