Aerial footage shows flood-hit homes in northern Thailand after the Nan River burst its banks.<br /><br />Houses near to the river were hit with the deluge after torrential downpours amid forecasts of further storms in northern regions.<br /><br />Riverside houses in seven of 15 districts -Chiang Klang, Pua, Tha Wang Pha, Mae Charim, Santisuk, Muang and Phu Phiang - were hit with flood water from the river and more than 1,000 houses were affected. <br /><br />Soldiers and rescue workers used boats to navigate the flood and deliver clean water to the flood-hit communities. <br /><br />Nan governor Paisarn Wimonrat said officials were now trying to contain the flood and protect businesses from further damage.
