Forest officials removed an 8-foot crocodile from a pond in Haridwar, located in North India's Uttarakhand state, on August 19 after receiving reports rom local villagers that it was attacking a pig.<br /><br />The video shows locals in Ganauli village gathered around authorities as they used nets as they operated a digger to drain the pond with a water pump. Nets were wrapped around the crocodile and with the help of the locals, was pulled to level ground. The operation took over eight hours.<br /><br />Officials later released the crocodile about 40 km from the pond it was removed from.
