Chagas disease is a nasty parasitic illness spread by bites from bloodsucking triatomine bugs.<br />These bugs climb on people's faces at night to feed, biting eyes and lips,<br />According to Business Insider, that's why they're sometimes called "kissing bugs."<br />The American Heart Association says doctors need to do a better job recognizing the disease.<br />That's because it's becoming more common in the US and Europe.<br />In the US, there are at least 11 species of triatomine bugs, some of which transmit Chagas. <br />
