Steven Tyler Sends Trump
Cease-and-Desist Letter Steven Tyler sent President Donald Trump
a cease-and-desist letter for using Aerosmith's music at a political rally without permission. This isn't Trump's first
run-in with the band. In 2015, Trump was warned over his
use of the song "Dream On" while campaigning. This time, Trump used the song
"Livin' on the Edge," which resulted
in the newest cease-and-desist letter. Statement from cease-and-desist letter,
via 'Rolling Stone' The letter also states that Trump's disregard
for the cease-and-desist from 2015 makes
this latest violation a "willful infringement." To be clear, the cease-and-desist letters
have only ever come from Steven Tyler
and not the band Aerosmith. Bandmates Joe Perry and Joey Kramer
are dedicated Republicans, and Kramer has
been vocal about his support for Trump.
