According to Reuters, a US representative pleaded not guilty to federal charges of misusing campaign funds.<br />Republican rep. Duncan Hunter and his wife Margaret have been accused of using $250,000 in campaign funds for personal use.<br />Assistant US Attorney Phillip Halpern stated that both defendants used a large amount of money stolen from Hunter's campaign.<br />Hunter, who was an early supporter of President Donald Trump, is the second House Republican to face criminal charges this month. <br />
