<p>Heavy rainfall north of Hilo, located on the Big Island in Hawaii, caused streams to flood their banks.</p><p>Even as officials downgraded a hurricane warning to a tropical storm warning on the Big Island, they said</a> excessive rainfall was expected on August 24, and warned of flash floods, high winds, and storm surges.</p><p>Maui County and Oahu were still under hurricane warning</a> as the Category 2 storm slowed to a crawl about 170 miles south of Honolulu.</p><p>This footage taken by Krystal Ho’onani shows water rushing over the banks of a stream on the coast north of Hilo.
