Staying with President Trump's decision to cancel Pompeo's trip to Pyongyang.<br />South Korea's foreign ministry has responded,.... saying it will not analyze every single change in the situation, but look at the longer-term picture. <br /> The ministry said Saturday that foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha and Pompeo spoke over the phone in the morning, where he explained the reasoning behind the move. <br /> Kang expressed regret, but said the allies reaffirmed their airtight cooperation to continue the current momentum for dialogue and achieve the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. <br />The ministry also said it has been closely working with the U.S. and the international community to adhere to UN Security Council resolutions on the North.<br />It added that it looks forward to China playing a constructive role in solving the North Korea issue as well. <br />
