In the Jirisan mountains... is a tourist attraction for nature lovers.<br />In summer, it's got more than a thousand varieties of flowers blooming.<br />Its botanical resources are the foundation in which it could launch its own line of beauty products.<br />Cho Sung-min reports. <br />Jirisan Mountain in the southern part of South Korea... is one of the country's most visited destinations all year round.<br />It gets more than 280-thousand Korean travelers every year.<br />It's famous for its beautiful landscape in spring... and its winter hiking course is the main reason why so many hikers come back despite the cold and snow.<br />However, travel experts say summer and autumn are the seasons when Jirisan gets the most travelers.<br /><br />In summer, endless fields blossom with a wide array of flowers.<br />And almost all types of summer flower, around 14-hundred of them,... can be found at Jirisan Herb Valley.<br />Jirisan Herb Valley is a theme park that's been running for 13 years... specializing in indigenous plants.<br />And summer is the time of year when they get the most visitors.<br /><br />There are botanical gardens, a research center, some open labs, souvenir shops and more.<br />But according to the tourists, what steals the show is the DIY center. <br />That's where visitors can make their own soaps, scented candles, fragrances, and even bug repellant using herbal plants and flowers.<br /><br />After so much positive feedback on the DIY center,... and having using extensive data gathered on flower farming, a herb valley official said the center now plans to launch a beauty product brand.<br />Cho Sung-min, arirang news. <br />
