In Major League Baseball, South Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin was effective both on the mound and at the plate, helping the LA Dodgers rally to beat the San Diego Padres 7-to-3.<br /> It was the bottom of the fifth inning and Ryu was at bat with two outs.<br />He got his second single of the game and the Dodgers took it from there.<br />Pitching, meanwhile, Ryu did give up 11 hits in five innings -- but he limited the damage to two runs and he struck out eight Padres.<br />Ryu has made two starts since returning from a groin injury. <br />
