How did you feel, covering the story throughout the week?<br /><br /> Well, some scenes of the family reunions really got to me and watching the footage myself, I did shed a few tears with the families meeting each other up there in North Korea.<br />We could see sisters and brothers putting their faces together, holding each others hands tight,... and some even bowing to the buses as they left.<br /> But Ji-yoon, what's really heartbreaking is that these are only a few lucky ones that got to meet their immediate families after a long wait.<br />Remember, 70 years have passed since the Korean War and most people in these war-torn families are now very old.<br />At this point, it's really rare to see sons and daughters meeting their parents. Most cases are reunions of sisters and brothers... aunts and uncles and nieces... or cousins even.<br />There are still 50-thousand people waiting to meet their loved ones across the border, but 3 to 4-thousand separated family members die every year. <br />
