Drought-Affected Areas of NSW Welcome Desperately Needed Rain

<p>Parts of New South Wales saw rainfall over the weekend of Saturday, August 25, bringing much-needed relief to drought-stricken farmers.</p><p>In video taken from Westdale, a storm can be seen rolling into Tamworth and Werris Creek. ABC reported</a> that for some farmers in NSW and also Queensland, these were the first drops of rain to have fallen in more than a year.</p><p>The Bureau of Meteorology reported rains between 0.2 mm to 24 mm</a> fell along the eastern half of the state.
