Heavy rain soaked the Notting Hill Carnival but it did not dampen the mood of the many revellers who were out for a party.<br /><br />The footage shows people covered up by ponchos and rain jackets as they dance to the music on the first day of carnival.<br /><br />Thousands of people turned up in west London on Sunday despite the constant rain, reports say.
