Stabbing Death Sparks Far-Right Protest in German City of Chemnitz

<p>Thousands of far-right protesters marched through the German city of Chemnitz on August 27 following the arrest of an Iraqi and a Syrian on charges relating to the fatal stabbing of a German man.</p><p>Police said</a> around 6,000 supporters of the right-wing Pro Chemnitz group turned out. They were met by around 1,500 counterprotesters.</p><p>Clashes</a> broke out between the two groups with a number of people injured, including two police officers.</p><p>A 23-year-old Syrian man and a 22-year-old Iraqi man were arrested</a> following the fatal stabbing on Sunday, which sparked the anti-migrant protests.
