<p>Those who happened upon this beach in South Carolina’s Pawleys Island recently witnessed an extremely rare occurrence.</p><p>Members of the South Carolina United Turtle Enthusiasts organization were itemizing loggerhead sea turtle hatchlings before releasing them into the ocean at high tide.</p><p>The video shared to Facebook</a> on August 23, shows the newly hatched turtles attempting to escape the plastic container that they have been placed in by the volunteers.</p><p>In a later post</a> the organization stated that the 11 hatchlings achieved a “92% hatch success and 82% emergence success” from their nest.
