<p>Months after the rapper made controversial comments about slavery</a>, calling it a “choice,” Kanye West is apologizing for his offensive words.</a> The “Ghost Town” rapper broke down in tears on Chicago’s WGCI 107.5, saying that he was “sorry” for “hurting” his fans. He also blamed his “downfall” on his friend Don C “not being around.”</p><br /><p>“From my point of view, and this could be a selfish point of view,” the host of the show said, “I always want you to speak for black people.” That’s when Kanye launched into his apology.</p><br /><p>“I don’t know if I properly apologized for how that slave comment made people feel,” Kanye said.</a> “So, I want to take this moment right now to say that I’m sorry for hurting — I’m sorry for the one/two effect of the MAGA hat into the slave comment, and I’m sorry for people who felt let down by that moment and also I appreciate you guys giving me the opportunity to talk to you about the way I was thinking and what I was going through. I just appreciate you guys holding onto me as a family.”</p><br /><p>He went on to describe the rant as a result of his bipolar disorder and also blamed his friend Don C</a>, a Chicago-based clothing designer and part of Kanye’s entourage, for not stepping in to stop him. That’s when the rapper broke down into tears</a>.</p><br /><p>“I believe that the downfall of Kanye West is directly related to Don C not being around,” Kanye said through tears. “Don is actually… He’s actually in town right now because I just told him I need him.
