<p>A huge column of toxic black smoke from an industrial fire in West Footscray billowed over Yarraville and stretched out</a> several more kilometres over the western Melbourne suburbs on August 30.</p><p>Firefighters said that more than 20 units, including aerial equipment, responded to the fire and alerted</a> that “toxic smoke may impact an area 2 Kilometres around Somerville Road and Paramount Road West Footscray,” warning people to avoid the area.</p><p>News reports</a> said multiple explosions were heard.
