<p>A family in Davie, Florida, found a seven-foot</a> monitor lizard in their backyard earlier this month. Footage Maria and Zach Lieberman recorded on August 26 shows their unwanted visitor.</p><p>Local media</a> reported that experts said the lizard was likely an Asian or Nile water monitor, an invasive species to Florida.</p><p>Maria Lieberman first spotted the lizard on August 18. She said that the lizard was likely a pet of someone in a nearby neighborhood.</p><p>The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission arrived on August 27 to help trap the lizard, along with the Martin County Trap and Wildlife Rescue</a>, but so far the creature has eluded capture.</p><p>Zach Lieberman said</a> the lizard was a cause for concern as they have young children.
