<p>A Sri Lankan man in Australia on a student visa has been arrested and charged with terrorism-related offences, New South Wales Police said on Friday, August 31.</p><p>The man, 25, was arrested in Kensington on Thursday after “alleged documents containing plans to facilitate terrorism attacks” were found, police</a> said. The man was employed as a contractor at the University of New South Wales and his student visa was due to expire at the end of September.</p><p>Police said on Friday a further search was conducted at his workplace.</p><p>The man has been charged with collecting or making a document which is connected with preparation for, the engagement of a person in, or assistance in a terrorist act, and was refused bail on Friday.
