This 19-year-old broke down in tears when his father surprised with his adoption papers as a birthday gift.<br /><br />In the video, the father can be seen handing his stepson a file. "This is your gift, something you've always been asking for," he says.<br /><br />"Adults agreement... to be adopted," the son reads out loud slowly.<br /><br />His father watches him intently. "This is the beginning of the process. Sooner or later, it's going to happen," he says. "Someday, soon, you will officially be a Godoy."<br /><br />His son, in shock from the news, bursts into tears and gives his father a hug.<br /><br />The uploader shared with Newsflare that her son had beeen with them since he was a year old. He had always wanted to their last name and felt he wasn't part of the family without it.<br /><br />"I felt that it was time to make it official and adopt him. Till now I hadn't had the chance to do so, due to the fact that we are struggling financially," she said. "But i know that with the help of God, some day will be official."
