<br /> A police officer came to the rescue of a baby deer who was trapped between the slats of a picket fence.<br />According to OregonLive.com, a passerby walking with her kids in Eugene, Oregon noticed the stuck deer and called police.<br />Animal Welfare Officer Shawni McLaughlin responded to the scene to rescue the fawn.<br />Video shows McLaughlin placing a towel around the deer’s head to keep the animal calm.<br />The deer appeared to not be seriously injured as she scampered away shortly after being resued. <br />
