<p>A huge fire engulfed Brazil’s 200-year-old National Museum in Rio de Janerio on Sunday, September 2.</p><p>Globo</a> reported that most of the museum’s collection, about 20 million items, were totally destroyed. They reported that no one was injured in the fire, the cause of which was unknown.</p><p>President of Brazil, Michel Temer</a>, tweeted that the loss of the collection of the National Museum was “incalculable.” He wrote: “200 years of work, research and knowledge have been lost.”</p><p>The National Museum was a former home of the Portuguese royal family.
