The third World Nomad Games is underway in Kyrgyzstan, with nearly two thousand athletes competing in a wide range of traditional sports.<br /> The biennial event started in 2014 to revive, develop and preserve the cultures of nomadic civilizations.<br />Almost 80 countries are participating in more than 40 types of ethnosports,... including arm-wrestling, horseback archery and tug of war.<br />The competition will run through September 8th and Turkey is scheduled to host the next edition of the games in 2020.<br />Arirang TV plans to air clips of the event in its documentary "Meet the Central Asia" later this month. <br />
