Victim of sex slavery demands shutdown of Japanese-funded foundation

A 92-year-old South Korean woman held a solo protest on Monday in front of the foreign ministry in Seoul... over the way they handled Japan's sex slavery issue. <br /> Kim Bok-dong... a victim of the wartime atrocity... demanded the government get rid of a foundation set up based on a 2015 deal between Seoul and Tokyo... to help the survivors. <br />Kim said the Reconciliation and Healing Foundation, funded by around nine million U.S. dollars of Japanese money, misses the point.<br />She said the victims have not been fighting just for compensation... but for a sincere apology from Tokyo for its past actions. <br />Similar protests are planned through the end of September. <br />
