NASA to Pay $750,000 <br />in Competition to Turn <br />CO2 Into Energy With more and more trips to Mars being <br />planned, NASA is seeking an efficient way to <br />keep things powered for the prolonged missions — and they need your help, to <br />the tune of $750,000. NASA recently announced the <br />CO2 Conversion Challenge, which calls <br />for the brightest of our society to figure <br />out a way to turn CO2 into energy molecules. NASA Teams or individuals need to register by January 24, 2019, and officially apply by February 28, 2019. After plans are reviewed, $250,000 will be <br />awarded to up to five individuals or teams and <br />then move into the next phase of the competition. Once phase 1 is complete, NASA will reveal the rules and criteria to proceed. $750,000 will be awarded to the individual, team or teams that can demonstrate <br />a working system to be implemented on Mars.
