Power cuts and empty shelves in Sapporo after strong earthquake

Traffic lights remain off and people queue up for food in Sapporo, Japan, after a heavy earthquake hit the city.<br /><br />Footage captured this morning (September 6) in the northern island of Hokkaido shows the aftermath of the 6.7-magnitude tremor.<br /><br />Long queues to enter shops and empty shelves can be seen.<br /><br />At least eight people are feared to have died in the quake and dozens more injured or missing.<br /><br />Up to 3 million homes have experienced power outages.
