<br /> It’s long been suspected that hand dryers are terrible at keeping hands and bathrooms free of germs.<br />And Gizmodo reports new research suggests they could even be spreading bugs in hospital bathrooms.<br />Studying hospital bathrooms in the UK, France, and Italy, a consistent pattern emerged.<br />Namely, bathrooms that used jet dryers were more covered with germs than were ones with only paper towels.<br />In France, hand dryers are already barred in restrooms where patients stay.<br />However, that's only because of the loud noise they make. <br />
