<p>An injured firefighter was airlifted to safety over the Fork Fire in the San Gabriel Mountains in California on September 9.</p><p>The Special Enforcement Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department hoisted the firefighter, who was a “victim of rockfall,” and transported him to a trauma center for treatment.</p><p>The Fork Fire</a> had covered 60 acres and was zero percent contained by the morning of September 10.</p><p>The Angeles National Forest</a> said the forward rate of speed of the fire had stalled.
