<p>Police began excavating and investigating the grounds of the home of missing Bayview mother, Lyn Dawson, whose disappearance over three decades ago spawned a wildly popular true crime podcast, The Teacher’s Pet</a>.</p><p>This footage shows officers commencing the search for Dawson at her home in Bayview, on Sydney’s northern beaches. The Australian</a> reported that police officers would conduct a “hand dig” at the house and would be there for at least five days.</p><p>Lyn Dawson went missing in 1982 and her disappearance was kept from police for six weeks</a>. Her husband, rugby league player and teacher Chris Dawson, has long been a suspect, ABC reported.</p><p>It’s alleged that shortly after his wife went missing, Chris Dawson moved a student of his, who he was involved with romantically, into the family home.</p><p>The 14-part News Corp podcast series convinced police to begin searching again for Dawson, The Australian reported</a> on September 12.
