Beaches along the Carolina coast saw massive waves on Thursday, September 13, as Hurricane Florence drew nearer.<br /><br />This video, taken on Topsail Beach in Pender County at around noon, shows the large currents.<br /><br />Florence slowed to a Category 2 hurricane earlier in the day, but authorities warned of dangerous storm surges, coastal flooding and historic rainfall likely to strike the barrier islands.
