<br /> Bisphenol A, or BPA, is used to create polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins.<br />The plastics are used in food and drink packaging, as well as consumer products and medical devices.<br />When repeatedly heated, as in a microwave, they can leach out BPA, exposing us to it.<br />As such, it’s estimated that 93% of Americans have some level of BPA in their system.<br />That's troubling, as BPA has been linked to metabolic syndrome and fertility problems. <br />
