A student-led protest at National Pedagogic University in Bogota, Colombia turned violent on September 13, prompting clashes with local police.<br /><br />The demonstrations began at around 11 am in the morning and lasted for about five hours. Students were protesting in response to a new reform known as "Ser pilo paga", a controversial program announced by the education ministry in response to higher education accessibility in the country.
