A horde of moths has invaded a small town in France, leaving its residents fed up.<br /><br />The town of Oyonnax, in the Ain department, has played host to thousands of boxwood moths for the past few weeks, according to one local.<br /><br />Footage filmed on September 9 around 9:30 PM by Gaelle Lecompte shows a huge cloud of moths sticking to windows and milling around lampposts.<br /><br />He says he was greeted by the sight when he and his partner arrived in the village late at night.<br /><br />Lecompte believes the insects' presence is in part explained by the lampposts.<br /><br />"The moths are particularly concentrated in our village – especially at night because of these streetlights," he said.
