A fire broke out at the Hotel Pamposh, one of Srinagar’s oldest hotels, and fire fighters were battling to extinguish it, officials said.<br /><br />There was no loss of life as people were evacuated while one firefighter was injured and sent to hospital, Srinagar district collector Syed Abid Rasheed Shah told ANI.<br /><br />He said that 20 to 22 fire tenders, teams of fire and emergency services, disaster management, and the State Disaster Response Force were at the spot to tackle the blaze.<br /><br />The blaze broke around 2 pm and within minutes, leaping flames had engulfed the six storey building, a police officer said.
