Pratap Chandra Khadwal has become a local celebrity in the town of Bhubaneswar in the Indian state of Odisha, although most people know him only as "The Dancing Traffic Cop."<br /><br />In his four years working with the traffic police, Pratap has developed a distinctive style of directing traffic at one of the city's busiest junctions. <br /><br />He bobs and weaves amid the rush hour madness, combining dance moves, whistles and other gestures to keep traffic flowing smoothly.<br /><br />Despite earning only 9,000 Indian Rupees a month (about 4 US dollars per day) working for the Home Guard, Pratap's obvious enthusiasm for the job has made him a much-loved local character.
