Typhoon Mangkhut battered Hong Kong on Sunday with high winds and heavy rains.<br /><br />It is the most severe storm to hit the city since records began, according to local authorities.<br /><br />This clip was taken on Pok Fu Lam Road by the student residences at the University of Hong Kong.<br /><br />The storm weakened overnight but was still a severe typhoon, with gusts of up to 160 miles an hour, according to local authorities.<br /><br />Trees were downed, windows shattered and hundreds of flights were cancelled.
