Rivers and roads flood after Hurricane Florence struck North Carolina over the weekend. <br /><br />The Cape Fear River and Little River in Harnett County both saw rising waters in the wake of Hurricane Florence. <br /><br />Officials warned Monday that they could become cut off from the surrounding areas. “Portions of the county could, for lack of a better term, become an island,” Brian Haney, assistant county manager, told the Fayetteville Observer. <br /><br />He encouraged people to stay at home in the wake of Hurricane Florence.
