<p>A dog stranded on the porch of a flooded home in Lumberton, North Carolina was rescued by members of the animal-rights organization PETA on September 17.</p><p>Footage shows the dog pacing up and down the porch, “with no way to escape the rising Hurricane Florence flood waters.”</p><p>The rescue team said the dog was “terrified and abandoned”.</p><p>PETA said “the team took the dog onto their boat and brought him to a safe staging center at a local police station, from which he would be taken to a local shelter.” Credit: PETA via Storyful</p><br />
