McDonald's Workers Hold Nationwide Protest Against Sexual Harassment

<br /> <p>McDonald’s workers and activists took part in protests in cities across the US on September 18 as part of a nationwide strike to protest sexual harassment in the fast-food franchise.</p><p>The protests were organized by the workers’ rights group Fight for $15. This footage shows protests outside a McDonald’s on West Florence Avenue in Los Angeles.</p><p>Workers also demonstrated in front of McDonald’s headquarters in Chicago</a> and at an outlet in St Louis, Missouri</a>, as well as locations in Milwaukee, Kansas City, New Orleans, Durham, Miami, Orlando, and San Francisco.</p><p>In May 2017, sexual harassment claims were filed</a> with the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on behalf of 10 women, with Fight for $15 and the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund backing the lawsuit.
