<p>The Twitter account for the Northeast region of Colorado Parks and Wildlife has issued a stark warning to pet owners to keep their animals on a leash if they are approaching “lion country.”</p><p>In a September 17 tweet, the organization shared a video of a wild mountain lion creeping around the reception of a Boulder motel.</p><p>The footage shows the animal darting through the grounds of Foot of the Mountain Motel in the middle of the night. In addition to keeping pets on a lead, the parks service also writes that the footage is “an evident reminder why not to leave your door wide open.”</p><p>The video had over 4,500 views at the time of writing.
