<br /> <p>McDonald’s workers and activists in Chicago marched to the company’s headquarters</a> on Tuesday, September 18, as part of a nationwide strike to protest sexual harassment in the fast-food restaurant franchise.</p><p>As they chanted in front of the headquarters building, “Sexual harassment has got to go!”, a plane flew</a> overhead with a banner that said, “McDonald’s: Stop Sexual Harassment.”</p><p>The protests – the first multi-state strike against sexual harassment in the US – were organized by the workers’ rights group Fight for $15.</p><p>Workers also demonstrated at McDonald’s outlets in St. Louis</a> and Los Angeles</a>.</p><p>The protests were also held</a> in seven other cities: Milwaukee, Kansas City, New Orleans, Durham, Miami, Orlando and San Francisco.</p><p>Last May, sexual harassment claims were filed</a> with the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on behalf of 10 women, with Fight for $15 and the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund backing the lawsuit.
